My Mission
My Goal is to have the healthiest group of clients around. To have a group of people who know how to take care of themselves, understand what is going on with their bodies and how to manage changes. I want you to feel better, understand your body, take control of your health and be able to live the best life you can.
What is Osteopathy?
This is a question that was asked many many times over and I have come to realize that the answer seems to evolve with time.
At its roots, osteopathy was founded as a way of addressing the body in all of its tissues. The idea that the body can heal itself, preserve health, and sustain its life was formed in the late 1800’s by Andrew Taylor Still.
In practice today, osteopathy addresses all of the tissues of the body. Every structure has a particular movement that occurs with life. The healthier a body is, the better that tissue can move. Injuries, illnesses, traumas (major and minor), repetitive movement patterns, etc. all play a role in the quality of this movement, this vitality. An Osteopathic Therapist is trained and skilled at addressing all of these tissues, helping the body release tensions that hinder its ability to maintain its own health.
What is Massage Therapy?
Massage therapy is the art of using manual techniques to bring about a change in the body. Manual techniques are used to change the tension of muscles, fascial pulls, abdominal pressures and overall balance. Massages have multiple benefits to the body, from improving performance, better breathing patterns, reducing scar tissue, balancing muscle tensions and improving digestive health.
